Valentine's Day is a heartwarming occasion, and we took this opportunity to spread love at the River Of Life Men's Shelter, focusing on our cherished Veterans. Our gesture of appreciation involved creating custom Thermal Cups emblazoned with our HUHV Logo, sweetened with candy. Donna Membretti and I, alongside James Bell, the Facility Director, personally handed these gifts to each veteran, making the moment special.
A heartfelt thanks to Everett Cussins of Cussins Enterprise for his generous donation, Craig from Black Signs for crafting and engraving the cups, and Patricia Hockett and Sally Uberuaga for their essential role in preparing the gifts. As we look forward to St. Patrick's Day, we're excited about our next initiative of delivering themed bags, thanks to the support from the Treasure Valley Blue Star Moms. Your support is what makes these moments unforgettable.

This holiday season, we embraced the spirit of giving by delivering 150 Christmas stockings filled with warmth and joy to veterans and the homeless at Boise's River of Life Men's Shelter. Our commitment to spreading cheer didn't stop there; we also brought 50 festive stockings to the children at the Ada County Boys and Girls Club. This initiative was a heartwarming way to share the holiday spirit with those in our community who need it most, making the season a bit brighter for everyone involved.
On a freezing day in Boise, we were blessed with a generous donation of Poncho/Blankets from Astegos Non-Profit Warehouse in Garden City, bringing warmth to those in need. These essential gifts found their way to Max Mohammadi's projects for the homeless population, offering immediate comfort and protection against the cold.
Our journey of giving continued as we joined forces with the Treasure Valley Blue Star Mothers, who contributed heavy blue blanket ponchos. Together, we extended our reach, delivering these ponchos along with clothing to the River Of Life, ensuring that warmth and care were shared with those facing the harsh winter. This collaboration highlights the power of community and the impact of kindness. |
